Indmar, the world’s largest privately-held manufacturer of gasoline-powered inboard marine engines, has pushed the envelope much like an athlete, introducing new innovations and technologies that enable the sport and the industry to progress and grow.
The Challenges
Indmar customer service wanted to make the most of the peak boat season by innovating its automation and adding more superior capabilities to enhance its dealer’s online experience.
There were two main challenges that Indmar was facing:
ONLINE DEALER PORTAL
Infor Mongoose Platform is good for building Syteline ERP, but not a good option for building user-friendly eCommerce websites and warranty management systems.
Hard to maintain and customize.
Hard to search for parts and engines because of the large database (nearly 20M records of data relation between engines and parts).
INFOR CLOUD INDUSTRIAL (SYTELINE) ERP SOFTWARE
API was not working as documented (especially pagination).
Tons of advanced features that require experienced programmers.
Must connect with the online portal perfectly.
The Objective

Indmar wants Variux to leverage Magento to rebuild a completely new eCommerce website, and simultaneously, synchronize data with Infor Syteline by using HexaSync Integration Platform
